The Food Place celebrates Authentic Jamaican Ital food, which highlights the flipside to the stereotyped nature of Downtown Kingston, upholding the local knowledge and values of medicinal quisine that has been passed down through generations.

The Launch is coupled with the exhibition of drawings and paintings that UK based artist Laura Shimmin has produced through a series of interactive and conjunctive workshops, with our local community residents, this launch informs the audience through the eyes and knowledge of the immediate locale. We really hope to see you!! A Great Destination for Mothers Day! All proceeds from the Food Place go directly to ROKTOWA’s exhibition program.
