Stacey Byer

At a very young age I announced that all I wanted to do was paint! I stuck to that dream, going on to earn a BFA in Illustration at the Ringling College of Art and Design, and now happily resigning myself to a lifetime of creating art.

I like looking at something bare and visualizing what it can become, I like seeing colour where it does not exist and making something inanimate come alive.

My background in illustration tends to add to my expressionistic painting style and the subjects of my pieces range from landscape to abstract to figure. I’ve exhibited in the Caribbean, the US, the UK and Asia.
