Neter-AM Kemetic Artist, Donna-Lee Bolden-Kerr goes deep within her Afrikan Soul to retrieve the lost pieces of her ancestral roots and ancient heritage. Then with unimaginable depth, color and passion, she reflects back to us and to her own self, all the glorious treasures she has found there. For the artist, creating this conceptual and meditative body of work has been an awakening of sorts, a sacred and creative journey into an old world made new again.
“I feel like have activated old memories, over the last 30 years each piece revealed itself at different challenging stages of my life and I had no idea that they were all inter-related until I started exploring my Kemetic African ancestry”.
This Toronto born visual artist gives us her art as a strong example of how deep reflection through your own consciousness will guide you towards inner truth. This inner truth is all that matters on your journey to seeking your destiny.
“Broaden your circumference of awareness by exploring your inner-side to find your own true perspective of the world around you”. As within, so without…
Donna-Lee holds a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Guelph and presently works in the area of Advertising and Marketing with a focus on CSR, Environmental, Cultural and Educational Sustainability.
