ICAFair provides exhibition opportunities to artists of Caribbean heritage and galleries representing these artists. ICAFair will be moving from New York to the District of Columbia in 2010.
The Fair offers new and established collectors the opportunity and convenience to collect contemporary Caribbean Fine Art in a professional environment. Collectors can select from quality original paintings, drawings, sculpture, and photography from exhibitors representing many islands in the Caribbean.
For its two years in existence, ICAFair represented more than 10 Caribbean countries and more than 250 artists.
For more information, visit our website at: www.icafair.com.
Art trade shows draw artists, gallery owners, museum curators, corporate art buyers, interior designers, art appraisers, architects, art critics, art educators, and others with an interest in fine art and culture. These shows provide a unique opportunity to view some of the best works that artists and galleries have to offer, all in a single space.
ICAFair exclusively showcases contemporary fine art by artists of Caribbean heritage. Collectors will be exposed to quality artworks from the region, and our educational seminars will assist individuals to develop a better understanding of the value of the works in their art collections.
We welcome all to come and experience the world of Caribbean Art!
Studio Wah Exhibitions, LLC, the fair's producer, is a company dedicated to establishing a strong market for Caribbean art, defined as fine art created by artists from the Caribbean and those of Caribbean ancestry living abroad.

Re: International Caribbean Art Fair (ICAFair)
Market Making for Caribbean art and other diaspora arts is a slow and perplexing process. The cultural, business and professional awareness, skills and priorities are sorely lacking. Those who have dedicated their lives to 'market making' for any segment of the art world are to be supported and given all the space to operate. For artists it's not enough to 'just do work' and expect to be represented especially in a climate where the value of art has not been established. If we care about our communities, as we say we do, a lot more effort is needed to make the market before we can pick its fruits.
Re: International Caribbean Art Fair (ICAFair)
The market for Caribbean art needs to be cultivated so that it can grow. There are many brilliant artists in the Caribbean who need exposure, in a professional context, to collectors who are interested in the new and the unknown. ICAFair is a step in that direction. As a Caribbean artist I wish them every success.
