Yvonne spent her childhood in Canada, her teens in Jamaica and completed post-graduate film studies at Bristol University. Recruited by BBC Television she directed and produced over 50 hours of original programmes for BBC1 & BBC2. She was Series Creator of "Ebony" the first network series on British television featuring African Caribbean culture in the 1980s and founder of Arts Opportunity Theatre, a youth arts training project funded by the British government that ran for 7 years in Bristol.
More recently Yvonne initiated, raised financing and produced two feature films. In 2010 she produced and directed "Power of Three" (UK-Canada) a feel good comedy drama set in London. In 2003 she produced and was Story Creator of "One Love" (UK-Norway-Jamaica) a feel good romantic comedy starring Ky-mani Marley, Cherine Anderson and Idris Elba shot entirely on location in Jamaica. "One Love" won 4 international film festival awards including "Best Film - Audience Award" and "Film of the Year".
