Anna Jane McIntyre is a multidisciplinary artist of mixed Trinidadian-British ancestry with an art practice based in print media and installation. She graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where she majored in printmaking and completed her MFA in studio arts at Concordia University in Montreal.
McIntyre's love of the nighttime spectacle, cheap glamour, the complexity of being human, lights and action has resulted in an obsession with the circus arts. Her work explores animism, social behaviour, movement, the imagined, the agreed upon, notions of balance and the powerful allure of the asymmetrical. She lives and works in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
