I was born in Haiti. I live in the United States for more than 40 years. I hold a Ph.d in Sociology. I teach at the City University of New York but I also consider myself as a social activist. I am very involved with Haiti, thes Haitian diaspora and the Caribbean communities. I have been involved with the Caribbean Studies Association for more than 15 years. My goal is that CSA become truly representative of all the Caribbean Communities. I am interested in issues of inequalities and of social change.
