Abigail Smith

I am very much interested in the things most people are not. I am a surrealist in every sense of the word. My paintings, my poetry and my writing projects (novel) are all very loose and dreamlike. My artwork is very conceptual, global in its appeal, and creative . I work with mixed media, oil paint and pastels mainly.

I live in Jamaica but I wouldn't consider myself a Jamaican by personality. I want to have an international appeal and my artwork does not come from where I live, what I see or what I've been taught. Surrealism is very selfish almost a delusion between artist and canvas and I try to stay true to my vision, purpose and art.
