The University of Liverpool is an internationally recognized centre for Latin American, Caribbean and hemispheric Studies.
The aim of the Research Institute of Latin American Studies is to strengthen and promote – especially through the participation of researchers in the Faculty of Arts, and of Social and Environmental Studies – the study of the Americas, from a variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives.
