Nicole Awai

Awai has exhibited nationally and internationally in North America, Europe, the Caribbean and Asia. Awai's work has been included in such seminal exhibitions as Prints and Processes at the Salvador Dali Museum in Florida (1999), Greater New York: New Art in New York Now at PS1/Moma (2000), the Biennial of Ceramic in Contemporary Art in Albisola, Italy (2003), Open House (2004) and Infinite Island (2007-2008) at the Brooklyn Museum and the Busan Biennale in Korea (2008). In 2005 Awai was invited to speak about her work at the Whitney Museum of American Art as featured artist in the Initial Public Offerings series. Nicole Awai is currently a Visiting Critic at the Yale School of Art.
