The aim of uprising-art.com is to contribute to the emergence and development of visual artists of Caribbean islands, through the use of modern communication tools based on the creation of a trilingual Internet portal that reflects the cultural diversity and the declination of voluntary actions.
Educational and Reference website, uprising-art.com aims to become the first portal of contemporary art of the Caribbean. uprising-art.com will facilitate the discovery and knowledge of artists of the west indies, but also galleries, museums, cultural institutions and local or international events in the region.
This project is realized in particular:
By providing regular articles and content available for free.
Significantly increase the visibility of Caribbean art pieces during art events in Europe, the United States, Asia or Africa
By presenting the initiatives of actors of this geographical area.
The website will also include an online gallery to to sell the works of key artists.
The steering committee of uprising-art.com is composed of experts of Caribbean Arts, exercising their responsibilities in institutions or renowned galleries ensuring the relevance of the content and collections highlighted on our platform. These experts will contribute to the quality of the artistic selection of uprising-art.com.
uprising-art.com also relies on a network of individuals and a community of supporters.
The project of uprising-art.com is led by a team of Enthusiasts, putting their multiple professional skills to the benefit of the portal uprising-art.com. prescriptors in Caribbean Art History, communications and marketing professionals, strategic development and web techniques experts - all at the head of cultural institutions, or serving in large groups or firms.
