Festival Jamaica 2012 is an integrated marketing, media and communications umbrella group. It has evolved out a
passion desire and recognition of Jamaica's leading role in shaping world culture. “Festival Jamaica 2012 ” is
designed to highlight celebrate and reeducate the world of the islands multifaceted contributions that have
enriched a global audience. The umbrella brings together projects in all forms, for the re-positioning of
Jamaica via its cultural and creative heritage. Projects include but are not limited to: Culture, music, sports, academia, theatre, dance, with business and enterprise centres, trade and investment forums, cinemas, mobile phone / multimedia platforms, broadcast television, radio networks and
merchandising.
The long term aim is to strengthen the social, economical and cultural links between Jamaica,
and the other Caribbean Islands, Britain, and the wider world. It is also forming partnerships with the aim of developing sustainable business, working with
institutions, and museums for exhibitions , and with venues for entertainment, sports, and cultural and academic events. This is a 360-degree platform with content for all manner of media, and institutions.
