Michael McMillan

Writer, playwright, artist-curator

As an arts practitioner and researcher, my work ranges from plays such as a forthcoming production of my new translation of Bertolt Brecht's 'The Good Person of Sezuan' set in Jamaica 1980 (www.midlandactorstheatre.co.uk My installation/exhibitions includes: 'The West Indian Front Room' (Geffrye Museum 2005-06), which lead to a BBC4 documentary, 'Tales from the Front Room', an installation in Curacao: 'A Living Room Surrounded by Salt' (Instituto Buena Bista 2008) and recently 'The Front Room: Migrant Aesthetics in the Home' (Black Dog Publishing 2009). Other installations/exhibitions include: 'The Beauty Shop' (198 Contemporary Arts & Learning 2008).
